Recreational shots
This
recreational shot shows the bedroom of the main actor; this shot is where our
opening clip will happen. We felt that this is the most important place to have
our opening shot as a large amount of our video is based around the bedroom so
we wanted the audience to get a feel as to what the video will look like. In
this shot we plan to do some rhythmic editing, the way we plan to do this is by
leaving the camera filming in the corner of the bedroom and having our male
actor sit in different places of the room. When editing this we shall make sure
that it all is done to the beat of the song. This effect will show that the
male actor is anxious about something and is unable to sit still. When it came
to filming the video we moved the bed into a different position, this was to
give the actor more space on either side of the bed.
This
recreational shot was taken in the park that we would later film in, the reason
that this particular bench was chosen is that it received the most light
throughout the day, this made it easier for us to film as we didn’t have to
worry about the lighting as much as we would if we had picked a shaded bench.
Another reason why this bench was a good place to film is that the path in
front of it has a large walkway going both ways, this was useful to us as it
meant that our plan of showing the male actor walking to the bench from one
direction and the female actor walking past the bench from another direction
would work. This big walk way also gave us a lot of space to film whereas other
benches in the park did not.
This
shot was taken in the music room of the house. The reason we took this shot is
it shows where the performance part of our video would be filmed. This room is
an excellent place for us to film as it gave us the opportunity to control the
lighting. This room is also full of musical instruments so it gives the room a
music studio feel; this was perfect for us as this is the exact look we wanted
to go for, for our performance clips. This room was also very good to film in
because of the open space it has, this made it so we were not restricted to
where we could film by random objects that we might find if we filmed somewhere
else.
